Network Intelligence and Innovation Laboratory

Welcome to the Network Intelligence and Innovation Laboratory (NI2Lab)!  The NI2Lab was established on June 2006 in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering,University of Manitoba, Canada. The lab provides both research and education platforms for researchers and stduents to work on core issues for future wireless communciation networks.

About NI2Lab

The Network Intelligence and Innovation Laboratory (NI2Lab) at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, directed by Dr. Jun Cai, is a research group focused on the discovery and application of network intelligence in promoting and accelerating the innovation of wireless communication networks. Our research interests include but not limited to

  • Radio resource management in wireless communication networks
  • Machine learning and distributed computing
  • Wireless body area networks and mobile health
  • Energy efficiency and green communications
  • Incentive Mechanism design
  • Collaborative systems and relay
  • Network performance analysis

We have tried our best to build an environment to encourage creativity, critical thinking, scholarship, and independence. Please explore the website to learn more about our works in the laboratory and our brilliant research team members.
